Speaking to investors in a new financial report, CD Projekt RED CEO Adam Kicinski said that the company’s plans for the Cyberpunk 2077 release date “haven’t changed.” The company intends to release Cyberpunk 2077 in September, as it has announced and the team feels “motivated and have the necessary tools at our disposal to meet this goal.” Kicinski also said that the company’s “longstanding strategy of avoiding debt and accumulating cash reserves makes us well prepared to meet any hardships which may be in store during these troubled times....

The developer has experienced some tumultuous reception over the past year, largely due to Cyberpunk 2077. CD Projekt Red is reportedly starting work on a new game in 2022, though the nature of the project is unconfirmed. The team could surprise fans with a new IP or follow up on one of its existing ones, and for the moment it’s too early to tell. If the new game turns out to be a new Witcher title, the company could have an opportunity to course-correct, especially in light of recent events....

And from the first showing, fans of the genre had their curiosity piqued - thanks in large part to an unforgettable slow-motion teaser trailer hinting at several of the themes and plot elements of the futuristic RPG. Since the trailer’s release (and the flurry of details and aspirations that soon followed), however, updates have been hard to come by. Kavalan, the world-renowned distillery in Taiwan’s Yilan County, has opened the Kavalan Whisky Bar on Taipei’s Nanjing East Road in the busy Zhongshan District. While the bar is currently on a trial run, it will open to the public in August. The unique bar, where bartenders can pour whisky on tap directly from the barrel, recreates the inside of the distillery’s maturation warehouses. Kavalan master blender Ian Chang says the idea is to promote the high quality of Kavalan’s Solist range, sold in the US as Kavalan Cask Strength Series....
