The story originally came from Polish site Bankier.pl, which quoted CD Projekt president Adam Kiciński talking about work on “three Cyberpunk things.” As it turns out, Google Translate’s handling of that quote was pretty far from Kiciński’s actual intent. Sorry fans, Cyberpunk 2077 will have to be enough for now.

Once the multiple Cyberpunk stories started breaking, CD Projekt Red quickly shot down the news and provided some context and an accurate translation that sounds a lot more realistic…

Considering how big a project Cyberpunk 2077 is (just look at its file size), it definitely make sense that most of CD Projekt Red’s resources are dedicated to this game. The game is shipping in April 2020, so perhaps after it breaks some sales records it will be time to start considering additional projects in this universe. Maybe a Keanu character spin-off game?

Be sure to check back in the coming weeks and months for more Cyberpunk 2077 news and updates, as the release date slowly approaches.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on April 16, 2020 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
