Cbs Sports Prez Mention Of Redskins Is Announcers Call

McManus’ take was deep in a Q&A with the Hollywood Reporter (via USA Today Sports):

The issue will come up frequently at the network; it will produce five Redskins games next season, beginning with the Sept. 14 regional telecast of Redskins-Jaguars. Eleven days later, CBS will air a national Thursday prime-time game between Washington and the Giants.

Critics of the Redskins’ name, including big-time politicians in D.C., say it is offensive to native Americans.
